Experience comes in the process

A novice entrepreneur thinks that in order to start doing something on his own, he needs experience, he needs to learn how to be a good specialist, he needs to learn how to manage other people, he needs to learn how to bookkeeping, he needs to learn how to keep cash discipline, keep track of finances, be a good salesperson, marketer, programmer and so on. Be a human octopus.

Looking ahead, I’ll say: in fact, you do not need anything. To start a business, you need to start it. No more, no less. Experience is a very relative and subjective matter. Someone has more experience, someone less. If you chase this indicator, you will never, unfortunately, catch up with it, because everything is developing, technology does not stand still, the sphere in which you plan to start your business does not stand still, it is constantly growing and changing. Thus, you will never be in time if you gain experience. Again, the secret is simple – you need to start.

The fact is that no experience is needed for the activity, you already have enough of it. Believe me! It’s easier to start and make a lot of mistakes now than to work and make the same mistakes after working for a few years on someone.

You can draw such an analogy. When you graduate from school, it seems that during school you learned a lot of things, a lot of information. And when you go to university, then in the first month you understand that you learned more than for the whole school. So much knowledge, so much information! The same is true in business. You will work in a completely different way, you will study information much faster. If a person who does not know how to swim is thrown into the water, then the likelihood that he will learn to swim is hundreds of times more than in theoretical training. A person can learn to swim theoretically for 10 years, but never learns.

When you start a business, then you can already study literature, attend courses, and trainings. This is necessary for the adjustment and development of activities. Let’s say this example: you have already gained experience, you know what and how to do, but this is theoretical knowledge, in practice everything works in a completely different way.

You will not have everything as planned. This is normal. There will be more expenses, less time, more obscure things, a lot of nasty customers.

And in order to understand and act correctly in these situations, you need to start doing, and experience will come very quickly. You will be surprised how in one week, a month you will do as much as you did not in one month or in one year. You will immediately know what, how and where to do it.

It is worth touching on the issue of delegation of authority. Why do you need to deal with the site, know how it works? You give it to the programmer and that’s it. You need to delegate maximum authority to other people. Especially if you do not have knowledge in this. No need to understand accounting. Better go and get one paid consultation from an accountant, and everything will become clear to you right away. The accountant will tell you how to open an account, how to pay taxes, how to make a report, and more.

And it is better to let him do all this himself. As for the registration of the company, you don’t have to figure it out yourself, it’s better to pay a lawyer, he will tell you everything.

The only experience you need comes only in the process. This is customer acquisition, focus on this and act.
